No matter how many ups and downs Arsenal face throughout the season, the result is a constant: to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

Arsenal studied 17 consecutive seasons among the elite, securing a place in the Champions League every year. Fans may be frustrated by the lack of trophies, but it is a level that Liverpool would accept without thinking twice.

When Brendan Rodgers drove back to Liverpool in the Champions League in May after five years of absence, the club hoped was the beginning of a revival. However, the surprise second place in the Premier League is still a surprise. And probably something once, for now.

Before getting to Arsenal on Sunday, Liverpool march 11th in the standings, 18 points behind leaders Chelsea after falling 3-0 to Manchester United the previous weekend. Arsenal sixth gear, but the London club is five points above Liverpool and just two of the fourth.

For two teams whose performance is below expectations, Arsenal seems to be the only prepared to meet expectations this season. Rodgers, however, takes the breast in this slump of Liverpool.

And there are players still including injured striker Daniel Sturridge - in addition to the loss of Luis Suarez, who went to Barcelona in July.

The Arsenal striker Theo Walcott could return Sunday at Anfield. Walcott, 25, who has just participated in two meetings this season after a knee injury, is ready to return to the activity entirely after a groin problem.
