The Portuguese faced the duel aware that a new setback to
become qualified for the next round in an almost impossible mission, and expect
to assert its momentum in the league to recover lost ground.
The match will face Benfica with two of his former
rivals: the Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim (former Sporting Lisbon) and
midfielder Joao Moutinho Portuguese (former Sporting and Porto).
Lisbon's entourage saw his flight from Lisbon to Nice was
delayed due to bad weather, although not planned to train in Monaco stadium
prior and preferred to work before leaving on his usual corner.
Less glossy was his victory last weekend against the
Portuguese Cup modest Covilha, the Portuguese Second Division, which was only
able to break through the low (2-3) thanks to a tip Brazilian Jonas triplet.
Precisely Jonas is one of the absences for the match
against Monaco-his signing came after the close of the inscripción-, near the
Dutch Ola John, Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar and Jardel compatriot.
On the floor of the latter could hold the young center
Lisandro Lopez, which would be the main novelty in eleven Benfica coach Jorge
Jesus.
The Portuguese coach is confident the "feel" of
the team, the Brazilian playmaker Talisca to score in Monegasque domains.
Along the Argentine trio Enzo Pérez, Salvio and Gaitan
Talisca is the key to the offensive transition "embodied", which
should improve their productivity to continue to dream of the passing round
man, because in the first two games of Lisbon's only scored one goal and had
five.
